Vintage 1930s Ivory Silk Chiffon Wedding Dress With Belt Toadstool Farm Vintage

Stunning vintage 1930s wedding gown in glorious ivory silk chiffon. THere are so many wonderful details I hardly know where to start but how about with the high ruffled neck, those incredible full bishop’s sleeves, the buttons at the very top of the back with a long keyhole opening beneath them, all that smocking. Not to mention the bias cut skirt, full bust and the matching belt for a nipped in waist. This is sheer so a slip will be needed unless you’re far braver than I, and there are snaps at the side. Its stunning…a true dream dress.

Excellent vintage condition. There’s very little to note here…one smudged area at the front, see photo and another pinhead sixed mark nearby. See photo. Also the belt was embellished with little faux pearls, most of those have come away. I think I’d just remove the rest. The belt has a snap and one half of that is missing. Also, this does have a matching headpiece that had a veil. The veil is long gone, you can see where it used to be, and the headpiece in general is rather worse for wear. I a including it at no extra charge so that you can use it as a bse to recreate it or perhaps you can repair it enough to add a new veil to.

Bust: 42- 47″ ITs a little adjustable due to the keyhole opening in back
Waist: 29″ barely
Hip: Up to about 42″
Shoulder to waist. 14.5″
Shoulder to bottom hem: 62″
Belt is 30.5″ long from tip to opening of buckle. The snap can be moved to wherever you need it.
