Beautiful baby christening dress in white cotton circa early 1900s. French seams, lace trim, pintucks across the back of the shoulders, beautiful embroidery. High neckline, sleeves trimmed in crochet lace. And the absolute neatest thing about this is the small cloth tag lightly stitched to the front on which someone has written ” Christine M Johnson, christened in this dress made for her daddy by cousin Edith *something* Scoular, *something*. (*something* being words I cant quite make out). The tag just has a few loose stitches tacking it to the dress so it would be very easily removed should you wish to.
